Bluebonnet Mini-Sessions! {Sneak Peek}

Last weekend was the big spring bluebonnet mini-session special! It was a perfect Spring day. All of the kids were in a great mood. It really was a fun day and I am planning to offer Bluebonnet Mini-Sessions again next year!

Here are a few of my favorites from the day!

Leyton - {Family & Baby} - Sneak Peek!

If you're a fan of mine on Facebook, you've probably already seen a few of these from my sneak peek earlier. But, as always, I've added a few more on here!

Leyton & his parents were one of the winners for the It's a Preemie Thing giveaway. One of the things I have loved the most about meeting these families is hearing their amazing stories. Leyton was born 10 weeks early after his mom was on hospital bed rest for a week. He had to stay in the NICU for 8 weeks and finally got to go home 3 days shy of his 2 month birthday. He had a very rough start, but is doing quite well now! 

When we discussed what they wanted out of the session, his mom said that Leyton is an 8th generation Texan, so she wanted some in a bluebonnet field. I loved the idea! She also said he would have his DOC band (or baby helmet as I refer to them as) by that time and planned to decorate it with Rangers stuff (Go Rangers!!). She even sent me a picture of him from his first Halloween. He was still in the NICU at that time, but they dressed him up as a Texas Rangers baseball player... in a Build a Bear outfit that was STILL too big. He was so cute and it really put things in to perspective of just how tiny he was & what a little fighter he is.

Crystal - {Bridal Portraits} - Sneak Peek

 This gorgeous lady is getting married next month, so I can't share a full preview of her session....
But here's a little glimpse at some of the shots we got at her session that don't show the dress!

James - {Baby} - Sneak Peek!

James & his parents were one of the lucky winners from the It's a Preemie Thing Photographer's of the Nation Giveaway! It was truly an honor to meet this little guy. He has been a fighter from the beginning. 

His story really touched my heart & you can tell just from looking at his parents that they love him so deeply. I won't share all of the details, but believe me when I say that James is a miracle baby. He was born at 22 weeks 6 days gestation, weighing 15 ounces. Yes... 15 OUNCES. Due to a mistake by the OB/GYN, the paperwork indicated he was 23 weeks old, which was the only reason they started life saving measures. He is now 7 months old & has a smile that would completely make your heart melt! 

Here are a few of the photos from our session!

 His cry is even cute! I love the way he wrinkles up his little nose.

 His pacifier had a frog attached to it. It was so dang cute!

It was a little chilly during our session, but he was still the perfect subject! Thank you so much for allowing me to photograph your sweet miracle boy.

Ethan - {Newborn} - Sneak Peek!

I love working with families, especially families that I've been able to watch grow & have become good friends with. I've had the pleasure of photographing his older sister before & was SO excited that I got to do Ethan's newborn photos! Seriously, his parents make some adorable babies. His cheeks may be the best thing ever. I loved every minute of his session (spit-up and all!). He was such a little cuddle bug!

Thanks for allowing me to be a small part of your lives! :) Can't wait to see you again!

Love is in the Air! - {Wedding} - Dallas, TX

I love weddings! Seeing two people who are completely in love always brings a smile to my face. Being there to witness as they pledge to love & cherish one another for the rest of their lives is so special! This past weekend, two of our friends did just that! Here are a few of the pictures from my point of view. :)
