Happy Halloween!

In the midst of busy season, I decided to block off one weekend between August & Thanksgiving to be completely off. That weekend was this past weekend (and it was probably for the best that I did since I have some nasty cold/bug that won't. go. away.) Even though I wasn't feeling my best, the fun still had to go on for my little man!

There is an amazing pumpkin patch in north Texas that I happened upon this year! You can pick your own pumpkin straight off the vine, feed farm animals, go on a hay ride & there's plenty of room to run around. It was so much fun & we really enjoyed it! And to cap off the weekend, little man was treated to his first candied apple. I'll let you be the judge on whether he liked it or not. ;)

It may be hard to tell (hah!), but he really *really* liked it.

And it's not halloween unless there are some monsters around!
Can you hear him roaring?

Enjoy your day & all of the yummy treats that come along with it! :)
Happy Halloween!

The Huth's, Scott's & Cannon's - {Family} - Sneak Peek!

I was so excited when Ann called to book a session for her entire family. It is quite the achievement to get four grown children & their families all in the same place at the same time. Between school & work schedules, it sounded downright impossible & like we'd have to wait until next year to make it work. But little did I know how amazing Ann is! We met up this past weekend for their family session at a beautiful park.

You may recognize some of Ann's family from my session with them in July. I adore this family & thoroughly enjoy spending time with them. They had me laughing so hard during the session - to the point that I was having a hard time keeping my camera steady! Hah! They have such great dynamics with each other and are so fun to be around.

Here are just a few of my favorites from their session!

As I was snapping away, I happened to turn to the side & saw Ky playing with his nephew.
Isn't this such a sweet moment??

I *love* they way they look at each other!
They just celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary this week. :)

Ann commented that she really wanted something that she could hang on her fireplace.
I think we captured the perfect photo of her son-in-law to display prominently. Hah! :)

Thank you guys for such a great evening! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

Fall/Holiday Mini-Sessions! {Dallas} Round Two

You asked for it, you got it!
After a very successful weekend full of mini-sessions, I had several people ask if I would be offering any more of these since it is limited to only a few spots. I think it is beginning to set in that the holidays are QUICKLY approaching (as in less than 2 months - EEK)!

This will be the *LAST* time I will be offering these this year in Dallas. The mini's will take place on Sunday, November 13th at an outdoor location in the far north Dallas/Richardson area. The specific location will be sent out to you approximately one week before the sessions.
Here are the details:

Like this past weekend, this set of mini-sessions has some bonus items. You will get your choice of either 24 custom designed premium holiday cards OR a $50 print credit. The premium cards are a new item this year & are simply beautiful. These are just a few examples of some of the fun new designs for this year! Premium cards are printed on both front & back and come die-cut into shapes (not all designs shown). All cards will be tailor made for each customer!

Sessions will begin every half hour beginning at 8:00am with the last one starting at 11:30am. That means there are only 8 time slots available. These always fill up very fast so don't delay!

Please call (972.200.3535) or email (krystal@kmphotostudio.com) to book your mini-session!

Jason, Paulette & Shai - {Family} - Sneak Peek!

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of meeting this sweet family for an early morning session. Paulette found me via Yelp (which is such a fun site - check it out if you haven't before). For the session, we met at a small park which actually had green grass! I know...crazy!

Jason & Paulette were so friendly and clearly adore their little boy. Shai is six months old and has the best smile EVER! I love big gummy smiles. During the session, I think he may have discovered his bottom lip. He kept making silly faces which led to his mommy & daddy asking "What are you doing?!" Hah! It could also be that he has his first tooth that looks like it is going to pop through any day!

I'm having the hardest time narrowing down their photos because they are so natural in front of the camera! Enjoy a little sneak peek of their session!

Their nickname for Shai is monkey, so she brought a monkey toy for the session.
How adorable is this?!

Grammy, Grampa & the Grandbabies - {Family} - Sneak Peek!

This darling family may look a little familiar to you and I may have a strange resemblance to them. That's because these are my amazing parents & all of their grandbabies! My mom wanted a session with all of her sweet grands - not only to have more photos to hang on the wall but to have photos for her holiday cards as well!
She got all of the kids coordinating outfits, holiday pj's & accessories galore! Corralling the two boys is def a job, but we had so much fun during the session. These are just a few of my favorites!

Pretty obvious that all of the kiddos are crazy about their Grammy & Grampa!!
Love you guys!

Things I Love - {Fall}

I love a lot of things - but one of my favorite things of all time is Fall.
The weather is cooler. Beautiful colors are everywhere. Football is on ALL the time. Baseball is coming to an end, which means every game counts (Let's go, Rangers!!). There is a crisp feeling in the air. Yummy drinks make an appearance at Starbucks. (Hello Pumpkin Spice Latte!) And...it means Christmas isn't too far away. (wanna guess what is another favorite time for me?) ;)

And...... the best part.... pumpkins! Pumpkin muffins. Pumpkin bread. Pumpkin pie. Pumpkin patches. Pretty much anything with pumpkin has gone over quite well with me! hah!
These are just a few of the fabulous pumpkins & fall colors I have seen this fall!

Get out there and enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend & check out a local nursery or pumpkin patch near you! It is guaranteed to make you smile a little (even if it is just because you think of the delicious pie it will produce).

Custom Frames!! - {New Product}

Over the past few months, I have been searching high and low for a framing company that I would feel comfortable using for my business. I *finally* found a framing company that had everything I wanted (and more!). It is thrilling for me to be able to offer these frames to you now. And yes, my house will be covered in these as well!!

To begin with, here are the frames. There are sixteen different styles to choose from - but it doesn't end there! You then have the option to make it a Double Stacked frame. This means you choose the frame you want and that is placed on top of a square or rectangle (depending on photo size). The third option for the frames is called the Twin Double Stacked Frame. The name is pretty much self-explanatory, but it is the same shape of frame with a smaller frame stacked on top of a larger frame. Make sense?

The thing I loved the most is the amount of customization available. You see, you can have these frames in virtually any color. If you choose to have a stacked frame, you can have the top frame a different color from the bottom frame. Here are *some* of the colors available (kinda hard to believe this isn't all of the choices!). This means the frame will truly be customized for you and your home!!

And just to give you a taste of just how beautiful they are - here are a few in use!

Aren't they gorgeous?!?

They are available in a wide variety of sizes - including an ornament size (since Christmas is quickly approaching!). Wanna guess what the grandparents will be getting this year? ;)

If you are interested in purchasing custom frames, please contact me! I absolutely stand behind this product & believe that professional photos should have just as stunning frames to truly compliment them.

The Milogradov's - {Family Session} - Sneak Peek!

This past weekend, I met up with this beautiful family for their session. It was such a nice cool overcast day. We started the session by letting their little boy run around & be himself. His mom told me that they often come by the area our session was at & that he is obsessed with the trains. She was not kidding! He was so excited about the trains & got a kick out of being on the train tracks. Ya know how they say that some boys are "all boy"? He is the definition of it! He had one speed - which was very fast - and loved everything from finding rocks & sticks to looking at the trains.

They were so easy going & an absolute joy to be around! All three of them were completely at ease in front of the camera. You can see how much they love their sweet boy & how much he loves his mommy & daddy! Here are just a few of my favorites from their session!

Choo-Choo!

I *love* how expressive he is!
These were all taken within about 5 seconds of each other. Such a cutie!
