Woodhill Endodontics - {Business Session}

Sometimes you meet people because of a bad situation, but then everything works out & things end up even better than before. This is definitely the case with this session! I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Ayik after a horrific accident in April which led to substantial damage to my mouth. After getting to know him as a doctor (which, let me just say, he is AWESOME), we exchanged the normal chit chat of "what do you do", "who are you", etc etc. When he found out I was a photographer, he mentioned they were needing to find a photographer to do new headshots & business shots for their business. Luck had it that I had done the same thing for a dentist late last year!

After my treatment was completed, I heard back from his office and was thrilled to know they had chosen to use me as their photographer. Here are a few of their office & the wonderful endodontists who work here!

Brand Identity - {Design Board}

I previously mentioned that I am having my brand re-worked so it is cohesive & truly portrays my business. I am SO excited to be working with an amazing designer (Ravyn of Three Fifteen Design). Just from a few conversations and looking at my pinterest board, she was able to basically read my mind. Amazing if ya ask me!

Quinn & Elly - {Engagements} - Sneak Peek!

If you are a frequent reader of my blog, this couple may sound familiar to you... and that's because they previously had an enagement session with me this past spring. When they contacted me again & said they wanted to book another engagement session, I was thrilled (and may have danced around the house a little- okay, a lot)! I absolutely adore this couple & think they are so fun to be around. Quinn wanted some photos with an urban feel, so we headed to downtown Dallas.

As always, Elly & Quinn were so easy going & made my job super easy. Part of their session was after sunset, so those photos will be fairly different from what you usually see on here. More edgy & urban - hopefully exactly what they wanted. :) 

 It was hard for me to narrow it down, so here are a few of my favorites from their session!

Busy Season!

It never fails that once September hits, my head is spinning non-stop until after the New Year. I absolutely love that & am SO thankful that I stay as busy as I am. It does make blogging much harder!

On top of all of the busy times with work, my house has revolted on me! Water leaks are no fun, especially when they are in the office. Eek! After appointments with a plumber & the insurance claims adjuster, it felt like it was going to take forever (plus a lot of money) to get the work completed. Thankfully my dad is beyond handy & came out the next day to help repair the big mess! My office is back to a state where I can work in it, so playing catch-up is the name of the game.

Add in dental appointments, chasing a two year old around all day & attempting to keep my house in somewhat of a clean state and it is really hard to sit down & write a blog! However, there is hope! The house is clean. The repair work is almost completed. And today is Friday (woo hoo!!).

All of that to say - I am now back on track & will be sharing many more sessions with you guys over the next week and the next, and the next, and... you get the idea. ;)

Lish - {Professional Headshots}

Lish is a dear friend of mine & such a beautiful lady! She also happens to be a fellow photographer located in the Austin area. I was so excited to be able to do a few photos of her while I was in town (and had her do some new photos of me!). Check our her site at DeLish Images and show her some love!

Jaxi & Buddy - {Fur Babies} - Sneak Peek!

If you know me, then you know I am a big time animal lover - especially when it comes to dogs. Jaxi & Buddy were both rescued and have the most loving home now! They really are like children to their owners. :) Jaxi & Buddy are highly energetic doggies, but are also really sweet. Not everyone has children in the traditional sense, so it is so great seeing someone love their fur baby as much as they would a child! It is always fun to do sessions that aren't necessarily the "norm" for me - although this really wasn't that much different than most of my toddler sessions because most of my time was spent chasing after these two. hah!

Kyla - {Baby} - Sneak Peek!

This past weekend, I had a day full of sessions in Austin, TX! My first session of the day was with Kyla - one of the most beautiful baby girls I've ever seen! Before her session, I had seen a few photos of her on her aunt's Facebook page, but nothing could prepare me for how utterly adorable she is. (Seriously - how do I end up being able to photograph the cutest babies/kids/people ever?!) Her aunt contacted me earlier this summer and wanted to purchase a session for Kyla's mommy's upcoming birthday. I thought that was such a cute idea! 

Kyla's mommy & daddy are obviously in love with her and adore her (rightfully so!). Throughout the entire session and many outfit changes, I think she may have fussed one time for approximately 4 seconds. It's unreal how laid back she was! And her expressions --- pretty sure I can't describe just how great they were so have a look! 

I tried to narrow it down, but there were so many great ones!!

I love when clients bring something special or meaningful to them for their session. This baby doll is her mommy's first baby doll! Love it!
