Baby E - {Toddler} - Sneak Peek!

Happy Monday! I met this darling little girl and her parents for a session in cooler temperatures. Seeing as how it is January, I guess this should be expected but I'm always surprised when I get outside and it is actually chilly! Little E did fabulous during her session. She was shy at first, but after a few minutes she was ready to tear off and run around! This is such a fun age for me to photograph. The cute little personalities are really showing at this age and they are simply fun! Little E's mommy & daddy were so easy to work with. I love seeing parents interacting with their kiddos. It's so easy to see how much they love her - and that makes me smile!

As always, I hope you have a fabulous week! It's so hard to believe that it will be February. I'm totally ready for the spring to get here though. I'm such a pansy with cooler temperatures. ;) hah!

Mrs. "Smith" - {Boudoir} - Sneak Peek!

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to be a part of a boudoir session. To be honest, I really wasn't sure if I was going to like this style of photography. So many times you see images that are not tasteful at all and leave nothing to the imagination. I was SO excited to learn that not all boudoir sessions are like that. And, in fact, most of them aren't at all!

This lovely lady is newly wed and her hubby is going to get these photos as a Valentine's gift. I have permission to share these and I'm so happy that I do! She is gorgeous!! We did this at a local hotel and the entire experience was a blast. I think I just might be hooked!

Exciting News! - {Personal}

If you are one of my lovely followers over on Facebook, then you probably saw this news on Friday. I wanted to make sure I shared it with you guys too though incase you missed out!

This..... is my sweet little boy who will be making his appearance in July!

Can you see the resemblance? Hah! ;)

After the announcement, I have been getting emails & Facebook messages asking if I would still be doing sessions. 

YES!

I will be doing sessions, weddings & events until the end of May (pending there aren't any complications with my pregnancy- and I'm totally hoping for that!). If I am feeling okay, I might take on a few sessions in June, but that is not a guarantee. If you know you want a session with me, please book before then!  After he arrives, I will take a few months off but plan to be back doing sessions and events again in October.

So what does this mean for you?

If you want to have a regular session with me before June, I *highly* suggest you book soon and don't delay. Some dates as late as April are already fully booked and my schedule is quickly filling up. 

If you want me to photograph your wedding or event in 2012, I suggest you book now. The sooner the better. 

If you are wanting a fall session, it would be wise to go ahead and schedule it. I fully anticipate my fall schedule to book months in advance!

And finally, if you are having a baby this summer and know you want me to do your newborn photos - give me a call so we can chat! I will do what I can to make sure it will work out.

Thank you all for your kind words & congratulations over the news! Although it was more than a little unexpected, I have fully embraced it and can't wait to meet the new little man who will soon melt my heart!

The Normans - {Family} - Sneak Peek!

This family means so much to me & I love that they continue to ask me to do their family portraits each year. It always amazes me how much the kids have grown since I last saw them! I have known Becky for maaaany years (as in more than 20). We grew up going to the same church and became friends in high school. I definitely consider her one of my very best friends! She is the type of person that I can go months without seeing and then sit down and it is as if no time has passed at all.

All four of the kids are such sweethearts and, as you will see, completely adorable! Becky & Aaron make such beautiful babies & are wonderful parents. It was *very* cold during our session - we're talking in the low 30s! But all of the kids did so good and didn't complain at all!

Madden - {Newborn} - Sneak Peek!

When Madden's mommy asked me if I would come to New Mexico so I could do his newborn photos, I was so excited! I always love visiting my hometown and seeing familiar faces. Growing up in a small town, you tend to know a lot of the people there. Madden's mommy and I grew up going to the same schools, often had classes together & she graduated the same year as my older brother. Because of the wonders of Facebook, I had seen how adorable her kids are, so I was even more excited that she asked me to do his newborn photos!

Madden is absolutely beautiful! He was older than most babies are when I do their newborn session (he was 3 weeks old), so he was more alert. That just meant I got to cuddle him more. :) He was super sweet and did so good during the session. He has the prettiest blue eyes and a lot of blonde hair! Since his due date was December 25th, his mommy had some special props for us to use!

Lana & Kids - {Family} - Sneak Peek!

While doing sessions in my hometown in New Mexico, I had the pleasure of meeting Lana & her kids. Seeing as how I had never met Lana before, I was completely unaware of how gorgeous she is! (Seriously...I'd never believe she had three kids if you told me that & I didn't know)  And her kids.... they will melt your heart. All three of her kids have stunningly beautiful eyes. They were a little shy at first, but quickly showed off their true personalities & ran all over the place!

Couples/Valentine's Mini-Session! - {Special}

Since the weather has been unusually warm for this time of year, I thought it would be fun to offer a couples mini-session special - just in time for Valentine's Day! 

So guys... if you need a good gift idea, then here you go!

There are ONLY 10 sessions available, split between two different days. You have your choice of Saturday, February 4th or Sunday, February 12th. The sessions will be in the far north Dallas area, but will be held at two different locations. There will be an urban setting and a more natural setting to choose from. Please contact me for location and time details.

Mini-Sessions always fill up fast, so don't delay if you'd like to book one!

The Bakers - {Family}

If you are a regular reader of my blog, you probably remember the post a few weeks ago when my family had an unexpected twist. The week following Christmas, my grandparents and aunt & uncle decided to come to Dallas for a quick visit. I was so happy to be able to spend a little bit of time with my extended family! For part of my grandparent's Christmas gift, my mom had arranged to have a photo session with all of the family. It was hard on us to know that we had someone missing, but I know we will truly treasure these photos for years to come! 

My Grandma & Papa are such kind hearted people. They adore their great grandbabies (as is quite obvious from the looks on their faces in the photos)! My Papa is constantly picking at my Grandma, but I know it is out of love and is how he shows affection. I love spending time with them, even if it isn't as often as we would all like!

Best of 2011 - {Nature & Pets}

Today I'm finishing up the Best of 2011 posts with Nature & Pets! I had the pleasure of seeing different parts of Texas, Colorado, Las Vegas & New Mexico in 2011. Coming up in 2012, I'll be heading to a few different fun places - the one which excites me the most is the Caribbean! Here are just a few of my favorite nature photos taken before/after sessions & while I was on vacation as well as some cute pups thrown in the mix!
